Great overview, but suffers stylistically and from lack of an index

This book provides a great overview of multiple myeloma, literally from prehistory to molecular biology. The imaging chapter is a bit sparse, however, coming in at 10 or so pages without the bibliography.
Innumerable typos are understandable, as English does not seem to be first language of many of the authors, and they usually do not affect understandibility and are only minimally distracting.
The inline citations (Mofo et al. 2009, Fubar et al. 2011, Leary et al. 1962) do, however, make this (Mofo et al. 2009, Fubar et al. 2011, Leary et al. 1962) a hard book to (Mofo et al. 2009, Fubar et al. 2011, Leary et al. 1962) read (Mofo et al. 2009, Fubar et al. 2011, Leary et al. 1962).
The book also suffers from lack of an index, making it essentially useless as a reference. This may not be applicable to the electronic version, if a search function exists.
