The book does not represent its title, only two chapters talk briefly about Line Balancing and JIT Kitting, the rest in an introduction to the assembly line. It uses the Japanese terminology a lot which I found it irrelevant.

A Very Touching Erotic Romance

This book by Toni Blake is NOT your typical erotic romance. It has warm endearing characters and a really touching story.

Nick is a housepainter with a wounded heart. Lauren writes her sexual fantasies in a Red Diary which Nick finds while painting her house. He is enticed by what she has written. He knows he shouldn't keep invading her privacy but continues to read the diary. They have some history and at first Nick wants to get even for a past wrong.

Lauren's love teaches Nick that love can heal even the worst of wounds. I definitely recommend this book!!!!

Sensual and entertaining

Nick Armstrong hates anything to do with the Ash family. After his mother died, his father took to the bottle and was ousted from a partnership with now multi-millionaire builder, Henry Ash. When Nick is hired to paint the house of Henry's daughter Lauren (whom he has not seen since they were children), he's instantly attracted to her, but can't fathom a relationship with the daughter of his enemy. When Lauren is out, he snoops in her house to get a glimpse of what "should have been his," only to find her diary. When he opens it, he discovers her erotic fantasies, and sets a plan in motion to seduce her with her own fantasies and break her heart. He doesn't factor in that his own heart might become involved. Lauren is not what Nick expects, and he soon finds himself falling for the one woman he doesn't feel he can have. When she discovers his deception, will she ever be able to forgive him?

While the plot itself is a bit predictable, the story is very engaging, and keeps the reader hooked. Nick has so many layers - he's both a tough guy and has a huge soft spot for the disabled brother he supports, while trying to find it in his heart to forgive his father for allowing their lives to be ruined. And Blake can really up to steam quotient - this is one hot book!

From the beautiful red rose cover to the end of the story, Toni Blake's THE RED DIARY is sexy, sweet and hot! A contemporary romance combines with a good old fashioned love story between two unlikely people. Even the secondary characters have a story you'll want to know more about--BIG HINT, WARNER! The Best Yet of Lintott's Pre-Cut Quilt Books

I just received this book and again Pam Nicky Lintott does not disappoint the avid quilter. After the first 3 books I could not believe there could be any more new and inspiration quilt patterns- especially for pre-cuts- but this book is full of fresh designs As with their other books, the instructions are clear and there are pictures of 2 color ways or fabric choices to help a quilter increase their quilting options. Finally, and this is my favorite part of all, these Lintott books contain full pictures of the quilts enabling a quilter to really view the pattern, colors and values. Now, I am off to make the quilt pictured on the cover. I can not wait for it to be finished.

More Layer Cakes and Jelly Rolls

This a great book. After collecting Jelly Rolls for 3 years now and a few layer cakes I just hated to open them up.....They make such a statement on my shelves just by themselves.....If I am going to buy more this the time to do it. Just loved the quilt on the cover, because I love baskets.......I have started collecting and making basket quilts of all types.
This is now on my list. Loved to be able to Look Inside your book before purchasing.....I tend to shy away from books that I can't look through because I have been very disappointed sometimes just looking at the cover. This was a real find.
Thanks for so many great ideas and quick to make. Good for beginners with very well written instructions.

Thank goodness this arrived when my charm packs did as it made it so easy to pick out some simple, easy to sew patterns to get my quilting projects underway. The variety allowed for my niece, sister and mother to each choose different quilts using the charm colors they had picked - simple and easy, a real time saver in the pattern department.

This 200-plus page book describes the evolution of ultrasound as a diagnostic tool from its humble, often serendipitous, beginnings to the present day. It offers a comprehensive overview of the history of ultrasound in diagnosis. RAD After reading this book, one has obtained a fantastic review of the almost 60 year history of ultrasound diagnosis. The description of the pioneers incredible dedication and imagination are fascinating reading. The many state-of-the-art chapters make the book very topical for colleagues dedicated to working with ultrasound diagnosis, no matter in what area it might be. The book also gives those who have worked with ultrasound within one specialty an opportunity to gain insight into what happens in other specialties. The book is easy to read and well illustrated. The text aims to reveal the interrelations of the dynamics of various atmospheric layers, as well as discovering the parameters of the atmosphere and ionosphere and establishing the role of various physical factors in the phenomena. The goal is to forecast the dynamics of environment in the development of external perturbations. The book is of interest to a wide range of researchers, as it has major implications in various fields of science and technology such as air and space travel.

Complex but essential for INTERMEDIATE ATM'ers

I have to say at first i was dissapointed. I bought this book as a beginer telescope maker and i had to put it away. Then i bought Richard Berry's book and was enlightened. This is not to say that i don't like this book. If you have some experience with tools and wood i would suggest this book first. Or if you have made at least one telescope before, i would also suggest this book. Robert Miller & Wilson have many insights and examples but in many places they leave you on your own. Fortunately i have a degree in physics and was able to do fine on my own. One of my favoriate scopes was built using 3 of his plans mixed together. If you have a basic idea or have made scopes before... this is the best book to buy. If you have never made a scope before and are just getting into this field of astronomy, do yourself a favor and get Richard Berry's book.. (also here on amazon.com) But i promise that if you buy this book later on, you will be happy. If you buy it now,you will get frustrated. What Robert Miller & Wilson did teach me was to, above all, enjoy the scope you make!!

A very nice and useful book.

I've been reading a lot of older books on telescope making, and this is one of the better ones. It is new enough, 1995, to avoid wasting time on making your own mirror. It focuses on how to use telescopes, basic principles, and general plans for 6 telescopes with extensive notes on a 7th. It's especially nice that the author is not an expert woodworker and the skill level required to build these scopes appears to be within the reach of an average person.

The projects described are as follows:

- Star tracker mount for a camera
- A simple 4-1/4" reflector with a PVC tube
- A 4-1/4" reflector with a wooden tube
- A 6-inch Equatorial mounted reflector
- An 8-inch f/5 reflector
- A 10" Dobsonian

And extensive notes and photos of a portable 8" Dobsonian using only two aluminum struts instead of a 8-tube truss or solid tube. If you're thinking of building a telescope, this book is well worth a look.

This book is very imformative and useful to the beginning telescope maker. It does not describe mirror grinding or optical testing but very thoroughly explains construction, design, and tips for making 10 inch or less telescopes

Nice book a shame they're also selling Creative Grids.

This is a very nice jelly roll sampler quilt book. I don't think you could get any nicer patterns gathered together in fact. What I am really disappointed in is that I gave this for a present to a beginning quilter. My issue comes from the fact that the only instruction for triangle units the authors uses is one odd ball Creative Grids ruler. I have no problem if they recommend an 'easy to use' ruler, but they completely disregarded any instruction to those using anything else! When gifting this I included Thangles and then upon my next visit showed her how she could go about doing her triangles with the rulers she already owns. Her first full quilt is lovely. If you're going to base your entire book on one ruler I suggest you sell the thing with it or tell people it's a must have!!

Lovely Samplers

This book is wonderful! There are great blocks created from 2.5" strips with clear instructions and multiple color suggestions. Create classic blocks with modern techniques (Jelly Rolls/strips and rulers). There are patterns for a classic sampler quilt, a quilt of different stars, and even baskets. There are charts for each quilt and block that let you know how many strips of fabric will be needed. The beginning of the book also has a spread with each block featured in the book categorized by size so you can mix and match blocks to create your own unique quilt. I can't recommend this book enough!

About the Author
Justin D. Levinson is Associate Professor of Law and founding Director of the Culture and Jury Project at the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law. Levinson's research explores the challenges to efficient decision making, particularly in the context of implicit racial and gender stereotypes. He has authored numerous articles and conducted empirical studies on implicit bias, including on implicit gender bias in the legal profession, skin tone bias in the evaluation of criminal evidence, and the implicit presumption of guilt for black males, among others. He has also written about issues of cultural psychology and economic decision making. Levinson previously practised corporate and securities law at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati in Palo Alto, California, where he counseled technology companies at various stages of development.

Robert J. Smith is Visiting Assistant Professor at DePaul University College of Law, where he teaches Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure. He previously served as the legal and policy advisor to Harvard Law School's Charles Hamilton Houston Institute and represented death sentenced inmates as a staff attorney at the Louisiana Capital Appeals Project. A broad overview of the field

This is a scholarly compendium of current thinking on the biology, evolution, ethology, development, clinical phenomenology, and psychotherapy of anger. The book is divided into nine sections, comprising 32 dense, well-referenced chapters. The flow and content of the work reveals an active editorial team, with frequent internal cross-referencing that reinforces the authoritative quality of the work. The hardcover edition is well-constructed to be a frequently consulted book for researchers and curious clinicians alike. A Kindle edition is also available.

The early chapters are uniformly excellent introductions to the physiology, psychopharmacology and general controversies in anger research. Inter-species and cross-cultural studies are surveyed, leading to sophisticated, detailed discussions of relevant childhood, adolescent and adult developmental phenomena, including developmental failures and their sequelae.
Sociological perspectives provide a useful introduction to the clinical aspects of anger, including anger relationships with pain, psychopathology and psychotherapy. The final section addresses family, workplace and community views of parental discipline, intimate violence, conflict negotiation and political science.

The writing varies from dry recitations of a vast research literature to stimulating, at times provocative analyses of how anger modulation emerges in children and matures over the lifespan. While the work as a whole is oriented to the researcher, clinicians will be rewarded with neurobehavioral, cognitive, dynamic and family-systems perspectives elaborated by capable authors. The references are numerous and the index is a useful, if not comprehensive, guide to the 32 chapters. Intended to be a "handbook," the discussions are often guides to the extensive literature that stretches from ancient Greece to Darwin to modern war-torn Central and South America.

Few clinicians will read this book in its entirety: a few of the basic psychology research literature reviews may be tiresome, and even some of the controversies will hold little interest to therapists and psychopharmacologists. But there are many insights and stimulating discussions to reward the pick-and-choose reader, especially in chapters addressing developmental, social, clinical, occupational and political affairs.

This is an excellent resource. It gives you a broad range of information that is drawn from various international sources. If you are going to research anger, you should buy this book. It is highly researched driven however. So, do not expect theory or mindfulness like chapters. But, that is its strength. It acts as a necessary point on the continuum to reference when necessary. I give talks on anger and I am using it as one of my reference points that I have found very useful both because of the information in the book and the research quoted. The index has an international base and is helpful as--again--a starting point to understanding where anger analysis is today.
